Medical Student Elective

Aligned with the mission of the residency, our educational mission is to train medical students in clinical excellence and support the development of humanity, compassion and empathy in patient care.

Our four-week rotation is hosted at the Osceola Regional Medical Center, and includes 2-3 weeks of general emergency medicine, 1 week of ultrasound and 1 week of pediatric emergency medicine training for interested students. The experience is completely hands-on, including direct patient care, clinical decision-making and care planning.

The didactic portion of the rotation includes 5 hours of interactive learning with the residents and faculty, in addition to weekly seminars and workshops directed to the medical student.
